Now believe it or not, no one believed me when I would tell them that I had never been to a concert in my life. Not a single one. That is until this past April in 2015. My new girlfriend and her friends went quite often and were going to see The Used at The Fillmore in downtown Detroit so I said, sure, why not. I was forever hooked and loved every minute of it. Seeing a band in person creates a type of appreciation for the music and there is nothing like it.
Not only do I now love concert, but nearly all Detroit sports. My favorite being hockey and watching the Detroit Red Wings. I love going down to the Joe any chance I get and watching the fast paced action in person.
I intend on using this blog to share my experiences throughout last summer as well as this fall and winter. Not only concerts and sporting events, but also any other events or restaurants I venture off to during the year. Hope you enjoy!
Congratulations on your first concert! You should definitely experience an outdoor concert next summer! The vibe is a lot different, you can walk around, have a conversation with someone and actually hear them and if you get tickets for the grass area, bring a blanket and lay down for the show! I am looking forward to reading more about your adventures around the Detroit area!
ReplyDeleteWell after my first show, I have now been to at least one every month since then, including a few outside. I will definitely be sharing those
ReplyDeleteYour first concert is an exciting thing! Especially with it being at The Filmore, which is a very nice place inside and a great venue for concerts. I saw Bayside and Taking Back Sunday there a few years back. Glad to hear you are enjoying more and more concerts!
